If you want to be with Him... keep  the appointments He set with His people...

Nobody questions the need to keep an appointment with a doctor or the DMV... yet millions of people who claim to love, honor, and obey their Creator ignore the appointments He has established as "Forever".

The beginning of the journey for many is the realization that the path to Him begins simply by following the instructions regarding His Appointed Times.

The Appointed Times of YaHuWaH.

Shabbath - The weekly Sabbath
Every 7 days, starting at sunset.   A day of where no work is to be done;  to rest, to "stay at home" and "gather", to spend time with our families and Him.

Day 7 is His day, and listed as the first of His Appointed Times.  A few simple instructions which start at sunset, often ends with the traditional "Breaking of the Bread" (an evening meal) which starts at the sunset which begins Day One.

Yahuwah established the Sabbath as a "Test", and declared that observing the Sabbath is the "Sign of His People", commanding us to remember and observe it forever.

Pesach
14'th day of the First New Moon

Our journey STARTS by understanding and accepting the sacrifice, and celebrating it by household.  A simple meal - not a day of rest.   Certain instructions applied to the original departure of the Yisra'elites on the day of their salvation from slavery - we continue to memorialize it on the day of their departure.

Chag Matsah

Also contains the observance of the Wave Sheaf Offering, a quiet ritual receiving the very first of the early harvest as the Sabbath completed.  This begins 50 days Counting of the Omer.

Yom Teru'ah
Day 1 of the 7'th month.

Announced with the blowing of the Shophar.

A period of uncertainty that His people were instructed to be ready at a moments notice, as only the priests could declare its actual beginning.  At the blowing of the Shofar, people were to stop whatever they were doing and gather.

Yom Kippur
Day 10 of the 7'th month.

On the 9th day, at the going down of the sun, we afflict our beings until the 10'th day is over.  No work is to be done.  The one who does not afflict their being is cut off from Yisra'el.
